We feature kimono that are entirely hand made by myself. Traditional methods of construction are used, all collars are hand sewn and of triple or quadruple thickness, which was a technique used for high quality kimono and yukata in Japan, and still is, today. All our bolts used for kimono are imported from Japan.

Most of our kimono and yukata have machine made "bodies" with traditional underarm openings for both male and female garments.  Today, it is possible to see women's kimono featuring a more "squared off" sleeve bottom, and men's kimono traditionally have this shape.  I use both types for women's kimono,
( done traditionally ) and you can request that I change a sleeve bottom to a more rounded shape via e-mail when you order a particular kimono; no extra charges will be made for that adjustment.

Our other kimono may be antique, vintage, or newly made in China. ( yukata )  All types of silks are featured, cottons are yukata, kasuri or katazome. Traditionally, kimono means "thing to wear", and this is how I use it to define the garments you will see here.
