Item # 1073 Los Zaphyros Kasuri Kimono
Condition: Excellent; antique kasuri.
This fabric is cotton, imported from Japan; with a custom collar completely handsewn in a tone on tone black diamond silk. The collar is designed to be folded under; as was traditional. This garment is hitoe ( unlined ).
Size: Sleeve to sleeve is 54 inches x 62 inches long. The sleeve length is 25.5 inches. The sleeves are designed to be mid - furisode sleeve length for a very elegant look.
The correct color of the textile can be seen below. There is a detail collar fabric photo. Believe it or not, this project was made from three odd sized bolts that were sold as separate cuts of 261.75 inches; another of 102.5 inches; and a final one of 58.25 inches.
Note: there is a perfectly matched seam in the back of the right sleeve. See last photo below; this is also the correct color of the kimono.
