Condition: Very good. There are some minor lacquer losses on the inside where the copper cylinder rests and on the inside oval rim, due to water usage. These flaws do not affect the outside,or the beauty of the item. Flaws in bottom middle photo.

Made in Japan, this is a Urushi coated (lacquered) flower vase with a Clematis flower design in gold; the center of the flower has a stunning inlay of abalone. This vase also has an incised chop with red urushi.
A copper cylinder insert is provided for use with water; and has some greenish color and typical use discoloration.

11 and 7/8 inches tall; 2.75 inches x 3 inch oval opening.
